Mark Gurman, Apple insider and reporter for Bloomberg, published a new report on September 4 revealing additional specifications for the upcoming iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. Apple is scheduled to officially unveil these flagship devices at an event on September 9, 2026, with several hardware upgrades drawing significant attention from tech enthusiasts.
The most talked-about feature is the camera system. The report specifies that the devices will incorporate a mechanical aperture designed to finely adjust light entering the sensor and control depth of field at a true hardware level, moving away from purely software-simulated Portrait mode effects used in previous generations.
