Data we keep on your device only

The following features store data only in your browser’s localStorage, never sent to or stored on our servers, and will be lost if you clear your site data or switch devices: bookmarked articles, recently viewed articles, reading progress, search history, your light/dark theme choice, and your font size setting.

Data you send us directly

If you leave a comment on an article or register an account, we store the name and email you provide on our servers to display the comment, verify your identity, and prevent spam - your email is never shown publicly. Only the contact form opens your own email app to send us a message directly (mailto); we never store data from that form in our database.

Newsletter Signup

If you subscribe to our email digest, we store your email (and name, if provided) on our servers, and send a confirmation email (double opt-in) before sending anything else. Used solely to send you the digest - never for any other purpose. You can unsubscribe and have this data deleted anytime via the link in every email we send.

Usage Analytics

We use Google Analytics (GA4) to understand overall site traffic - visitor counts, popular pages, and feature usage (bookmarking, sharing, searching, etc.). Google may set cookies to recognize repeat visits; see Google’s policy at policies.google.com/privacy
On your first visit you’ll always see a consent banner before Google Analytics is enabled - analytics only starts once you accept. If you change your mind later, you can click "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the site to choose again anytime.

Advertising (Google AdSense)

This site shows ads via Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies to serve ads relevant to your interests, based on your visits to this and other sites. See how Google uses this data for advertising at policies.google.com/technologies/ads
Advertising cookies only activate once you accept the cookie banner. If you decline, you’ll still see ads, just not personalized to you. Manage your Google ad settings directly at adssettings.google.com or click "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the site to change your choice anytime.

Default Language Detection

On your very first visit, before we remember your language choice, we send your IP address to a third-party lookup service (ipwho.is) once to guess your country and set the default site language (Thai/English). We don’t store this IP ourselves - it’s used for that single request and then discarded.

AI Chat Assistant

If you use the AI chat feature, the question you type is sent to Google’s Gemini API to generate an answer grounded in our articles. We don’t store chat history in our own systems, but your message passes through Google’s systems, governed by Google’s own privacy policy.

Notifications

If you turn on new-article notifications, your browser will ask for permission directly, and we create a Web Push subscription (your device’s endpoint and encryption keys, not tied to your name or email) stored on our server so we can deliver new-article alerts even after you close the tab. Turning notifications off removes this subscription from our server immediately. You can turn it off anytime from the bell icon in the menu bar.

Requesting Data Deletion

Logged-in members can delete their account and all associated data (saved articles, followed categories/tags, reading history) from their account page. Existing comments are anonymized rather than deleted, so removing your account doesn’t break reply threads other readers are part of.
