Sophon Advances Housing Project for Vulnerable and Disabled Citizens in Buriram
King Prajadhipok's Institute and Anatphon Sarram Foundation collaborate to build four homes in Khu Mueang district.

Mrs. Lae Sriphang is among the selected citizens to receive housing assistance under the royal celebration project dedicated to His Majesty the King on July 28, 2026. The initiative aims to provide secure and safe living conditions for a fresh start in life, organized through a joint effort by King Prajadhipok's Institute, the Anatphon Sarram (Luk Teung) Foundation, and the Good Deeds for the Father of the Land Club.
The handover ceremony was attended by numerous dignitaries, led by Mr. Sak Sarram, Member of Parliament for Buriram representing the Bhumjaithai Party, Mr. Somboon Suteerakul, Deputy Governor of Buriram, Dr. Kittisak Aksornwong, Director-General of the Department of Mental Health, Dr. Pakorn Tongkasereerak, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Health, Dr. Withit Sariddeechaikul, Inspector-General of Health Region 9, Dr. Yutthana Suriya, Buriram Provincial Public Health Officer, and Mr. Manoonsak Namprathuang, Chief of Khu Mueang District, along with local administrative officials and community leaders.
Mr. Sophon outlined the implementation in Khu Mueang district, noting that houses were built for four selected individuals across four sub-districts: Tum Yai, Phon Samran, Khu Mueang, and Pa Khieb. Financial support was entirely provided by the Anatphon Sarram (Luk Teung) Foundation at 100,000 baht per house, amounting to a total budget of 400,000 baht.

Mrs. Lae expressed her gratitude after receiving her new home, stating her belief that the permanent residence will significantly improve her quality of life and living conditions. She promised to take good care of the house and live earnestly to repay the kindness and encouragement received from all sectors involved.
This housing initiative not only alleviates basic shelter hardships for impoverished and disabled individuals but also fosters local community engagement and social solidarity. Crucially, the requirement that beneficiaries must have no involvement with illicit drugs or vices helps promote positive civic values and long-term societal well-being.
The campaign to build homes for disabled and underprivileged individuals as a royal offering spans across six districts in Buriram province: Lam Plai Mat, Nong Hong, Khu Mueang, Phutthaisong, Ban Mai Chaiyaphot, and Na Pho. A strict criterion requires that beneficiaries must remain entirely free from drugs and all forms of vice, with the ongoing project welcoming citizens who wish to demonstrate their loyalty.
