On August 4, 2569, at the Central Administrative Court, Dr. Sarana Bunbhairojpiroj, chairman of the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission (NBTC), filed a lawsuit on August 3 under black case number 1455/2569, requesting the court to revoke the NBTC selection committee's ruling No. 1/2569, which found him legally disqualified from holding the position due to his hourly paid medical duties.
The lawsuit stated that the decision directly impacts his royally appointed status, dignity, and rights to perform duties, while asserting that the selection committee lacked legal authority to judge his qualifications and acted without impartiality.

Recently, regarding the urgent request for temporary relief and injunctions, the court ruled that there was no pressing necessity to issue an urgent order, thus dismissing the petition. The case is currently awaiting the appointment of a judicial panel by the Central Administrative Court president.
This legal dispute sets a critical precedent concerning the jurisdictional boundaries of independent body selection committees versus individuals holding royally endorsed positions, highlighting potential gaps in public office qualification screening processes.
Dr. Supat Hasuwannakit, advisor to the chairman of the House Committee on Political Development, stated that if the court does not issue an injunction, the Prime Minister can proceed to submit the removal for royal endorsement immediately, citing the Council of State's Panel 1 ruling chaired by Meechai Ruchuphan.

Meanwhile, Was Tingsamit, a former senior Supreme Court judge, noted that facts clearly indicate Dr. Sarana served as a paid medical employee and only resigned on April 12, 2565, just one day prior to his royal appointment on April 13, 2565, meaning he was unqualified from the very beginning.
