That royal legacy is now taking center stage in a fresh government promotional campaign. In July 2026, Tourism and Sports Minister Mr. Surasak Phancharoenworakul visited Hua Hin, Cha-am, and the surrounding districts of Prachuap Khiri Khan, unveiling a strategic plan to reposition the resort destination as a world-class hub comparable to Phuket and Ko Samui.
Rather than pursuing mass tourism, the new strategy leans into the distinct characteristics that set Hua Hin apart: its tranquil atmosphere, rich royal heritage, and a loyal following among quality-driven travelers.
