Even though several new Android phones have been added to the eligible list, Apple simultaneously lowered its trade-in credit for a few other existing models.
This adjustment in trade-in values and the expansion of Android device acceptance reflect Apple's ongoing strategy to incentivize upgrades and capture users from competing platforms. It follows a wave of hardware price hikes earlier this year and the introduction of a new Upgrade leasing program aimed at making increasingly expensive devices more accessible.
