Yossanan Donates Blood for Victims of Debsirin Nonthaburi School Incident

At 5:30 PM on August 7, 2026, following an on-site inspection of the violent incident at Debsirin Nonthaburi School, Mr. Yossanan Wongsuwan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI), traveled directly to Phra Nang Klao Hospital to donate blood.
This initiative was carried out to support medical treatments and surgeries for individuals injured in the school incident, who remain under close observation and medical care by hospital staff.
School-related violence emergencies instantly strain local medical reserves, particularly blood bank inventories which face sudden spikes in demand. High-profile leadership involvement in blood donation drives serves both a practical purpose in augmenting supplies and a psychological role in mobilizing community solidarity during crises.
In addition, the Deputy Prime Minister invited members of the public who are in good health and able to travel to visit Phra Nang Klao Hospital and donate blood, ensuring an adequate reserve is maintained for patients requiring continuous medical intervention.
Mr. Yossanan also expressed his sincere appreciation to citizens and military personnel who had previously rushed to donate blood, while sending words of encouragement to all doctors, nurses, and medical staff working tirelessly to care for the injured.
