Thammanat Expands Political Base in Thailand Southern Border Provinces

On August 8, Capt. Thammanat Prompao, leader of the Klatham Party, chaired the first management and political mission driving meeting for the three southern border provinces of Thailand at the Al-Haj Hotel in Hat Yai District, Songkhla Province. The meeting was attended by party deputy leaders, executives, and MPs representing the southern border region.
The key agenda included appointing a dedicated administrative committee for the region and approving the establishment of Klatham Party coordination centers in provinces where the party holds MP seats. These centers will serve as vital mechanisms to connect with local residents, address community concerns, and deliver targeted assistance.

Furthermore, the meeting approved the creation of the "Tonkla Klatham Political School," upgrading previous youth training initiatives into a formal party political institute. This initiative aims to foster leadership among young people and youth leaders through three main curricula, underpinned by a four-pillar strategy covering education, law, religion, and culture.
The Klatham Party's strategic push into Thailand's southern border region by establishing academic-backed political institutions highlights an effort to engage younger demographics and local educational networks. By involving religious schools, Islamic private institutions, and regional universities, the party attempts to build deep-rooted community trust beyond traditional political patronage.
In addition, the party plans to open its curriculum development to academic and social sectors by organizing academic workshops in collaboration with four universities across the southern border provinces and four districts of Songkhla Province to formulate long-term cooperative frameworks.
Following the meeting, Capt. Thammanat traveled to meet with party executives and MPs at the office of Dech-issara Khaothong in Kuha Tai Subdistrict, Rattaphum District, Songkhla Province. He then proceeded to the office of MP Charan Chankaew in Pak Phayun District, Phatthalung Province, where over 30 party MPs and more than 10,000 local residents gathered to welcome him.
