Thailand's Ministry of Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS) has announced a collaborative initiative with Apple to enhance digital safety for young users. During the meeting, officials agreed to promote the 'Child Protection' system, currently under development, to become the default setting on devices as soon as possible, serving as a robust parental control mechanism to restrict content access based on age groups.
The system will feature automated detection to blur nude images, violence, and gruesome content. It will also send immediate notifications to parents whenever an attempt is made to access inappropriate material, requiring explicit parental approval before access is granted.

In addition to content controls, the ministry emphasized the ongoing development of screen time guidelines for children. The initiative aims to educate parents on appropriate usage limits for different age groups to prevent adverse effects on child development and undesirable habits, requesting cooperation from private sector partners to help communicate these unified practices.
The collaboration between government agencies and tech giants like Apple to mandate safety features as default settings represents a crucial shift. Moving the responsibility from manual parental setup to automatic baseline protection aligns with global efforts to create safer digital environments for minors by design.
Furthermore, the discussions addressed empowering disabled individuals in daily life and employment through technology. The ministry expressed support for training programs utilizing Apple devices equipped with accessibility features, such as eye-tracking controls, voice commands, and screen-reading capabilities, ensuring people with various disabilities can access modern technology equitably.
