On August 12, Mr. Arsidh Somphanrat, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Interior and President of the Chulalongkorn University Political Science Alumni Association, issued a warm invitation to current students and alumni across all generations to attend the upcoming major annual gathering titled “Sing Dam Samphan 2026: 79 Years of Prestige and Bond.” The event is scheduled for August 22, 2026, at the Faculty of Political Science, Chulalongkorn University, aiming to strengthen fellowship among the black lion community.
Alongside traditional reunion activities, this year's highlight features the announcement and presentation of the “Outstanding Political Science Alumni Award of 2026.” The selection criteria focus on individuals who apply their academic knowledge with integrity, achieve exceptional professional success, maintain high moral conduct, earn public respect, and continuously contribute to society and the nation.

A total of five distinguished individuals have been selected to receive the 2026 Outstanding Alumni Award, categorized into two main fields: four in the permanent civil service branch and one in the academic branch:
- Permanent Civil Service Branch (4 individuals): Mr. Piriya Chantadilok (Class 39), Governor of Trat Province; Mr. Nikorndej Balankura (Class 41), Ambassador of Thailand to Paris, French Republic; Ms. Arocha Nanthamonตรี (Class 42), Governor of Nakhon Pathom Province; and Mr. Siam Sirimongkol (Class 45), Director-General of the Community Development Department.
- Academic Branch (1 individual): Prof. Dr. Chanthana Banpasirichot Havanond (Class 29), Professor Emeritus at Chulalongkorn University.
The Sing Dam Samphan event serves as a significant milestone for alumni of Chulalongkorn's Faculty of Political Science, which has produced numerous qualified personnel serving Thai society for over seven decades. Honoring outstanding alumni not only celebrates individual achievements but also inspires current students to uphold good governance and professional integrity.
