Google Announces Pixel 11 Lineup With Tensor G6 Chip and 256GB Base Storage

Hours before the major Made by Google event, Google officially introduced the Pixel 11 series. The new lineup includes the standard Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, which starts at a price tag of $1,899. While each device offers distinct form factors—such as the larger Pro XL and the folding inner display of the Pro Fold—all four phones share four universal upgrades across the board.
Camera performance remains a focal point, with the base Pixel 11 featuring a 48MP main camera that is 56% more light-sensitive alongside a 5x telephoto lens supporting 30x Super Zoom. Meanwhile, the Pixel 11 Pro and Pixel 11 Pro XL pack brand-new main sensors and a 48MP telephoto lens with 30% greater light sensitivity. The Pro models also support 5x Portrait Mode, 120x Pro Zoom, and Night Sight speeds that are 4.5 times faster than the previous generation. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold also includes the new 48MP main shooter with 30x Super Zoom.
Charging and processing capabilities have also received a boost. The base Pixel 11 utilizes built-in PixelSnap for its fastest charging yet, whereas the three Pro models support Qi 2.2 for quicker wireless charging. The Pixel 11 Pro XL stands out with a 45W USB-C charger that delivers 15 hours of battery life from a quick 15-minute charge. Under the hood, the new Tensor G6 chip provides a CPU that enables 25% faster web browsing and 15% faster app launches.

By eliminating the 128GB storage option and setting 256GB as the new baseline for every Pixel 11 device, Google addresses the growing storage demands driven by local AI processing and larger applications. However, because Google kept the pricing consistent with last year's 256GB models, this transition effectively increases the minimum entry barrier and starting cost for customers entering the Pixel ecosystem.
