Jaguar Reveals Type 01 Interior Featuring Full-Length Central Spine

While the exterior of the Jaguar Type 01 remains hidden beneath camouflage, the production car's interior provides the clearest look yet at how much of the provocative Type 00 concept makes it to the road. The core concept survives intact through a broad spine running from the dashboard all the way to the rear, dividing the four-seat layout into individual zones and drawing the eye along the GT's length rather than across it.

Jaguar chief interior designer Thomas Holden describes it as an architectural statement that creates four individual spaces, functioning almost like an interior wall thick enough to shape how each occupant sits relative to others.

A low driving position enhances the cocooned atmosphere, while the four-seat arrangement carves out a distinct pocket for every passenger. From above, the cabin reads as a sequence of paired spaces. The material palette translates travertine stone tones into the cabin surfaces, while the central spine receives a brass-inspired finish complemented by Leaper graphics along the door tops.

Jaguar keeps the digital interface restrained, placing screens where needed and leaving large sections of the dash visually open. A digital ClearSight rearview display sits centrally at the base of the windshield, accompanied by a slim center console touchscreen. Mechanically, the Type 01 is the first production Jaguar built on the dedicated Jaguar Electric Architecture (JEA), utilizing a tri-motor setup delivering over 1,000 PS and more than 1,300 Nm of torque.

The company will fully unveil the four-door GT in New York on October 6th, 2026. Prior to the debut, a camouflaged prototype will appear during Monterey Car Week 2026, culminating with the Pebble Beach Concours on August 16th.
