At 09:00 on August 14, 2026, Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, serving as Chairman of the National Security Council (NSC), arrived at Wing 1 in Mueang Nakhon Ratchasima District, Nakhon Ratchasima Province, by piloting his own private jet. High-ranking military officials, including Air Chief Marshal Sekson Kantha, Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Air Force, Defense Minister General Adul Boonthamcharoen, Permanent Secretary for Defense General Tharapong Malakam, Chief of Defence Forces General Ukrit Boontanont, and 2nd Army Area Commander Lieutenant General Weerayut Raksilp, were present to welcome him.
A notable highlight occurred as the Prime Minister's aircraft entered the airspace of Wing 1, where three F-16 fighter jets performed a welcome flight—two flanking his plane and one flying directly above—simulating a VIP aerial escort mission prior to landing. Afterward, the Prime Minister received honors from the guard of honour and observed tactical demonstrations, including Air-to-Ground and Air-to-Air combat maneuvers, as well as a Combat Search and Rescue demonstration using an H225M helicopter.
