Despite taking the lead twice during the fixture, Michael Carrick's side ultimately failed to contain the Italian giants, leaving the coaching staff with plenty to ponder ahead of the domestic campaign.
The match served as the first pre-season outing for several key names, including Marcus Rashford, Kobbie Mainoo, and Lisandro Martinez, while Bruno Fernandes and Youri Tielemans logged the full 90 minutes. However, conceding four goals to a Milan side managed by former United boss Ruben Amorim is far from ideal.
