- Views AI as fundamental infrastructure akin to electricity and internet rather than a mere toy
- Automates PO document processing by uploading PDFs through a web portal directly into Excel
- Started operations with just 3 ChatGPT Plus accounts and later added 4 Claude AI accounts
- Reaffirms zero staff reduction policy, reclaiming employees' time for high-value tasks
Cosmetics manufacturing today is no longer driven solely by product formulas, but rather by operational speed. A young business successor, serving as the International Business Development Manager at Comet Intertrade Group and ICT Manufacturing Group, has successfully spearheaded a major corporate transformation by integrating artificial intelligence into everyday operations.
Reflecting on her initiative from two years ago after receiving approval from her mother to overhaul the back-office infrastructure, she noted that manual data entry previously required 5 to 6 staff members daily to input purchase order details into Excel row by row. Today, the process has been fully automated: employees simply upload PDF files into a web portal, which instantly extracts the data into Excel spreadsheets and forwards them to the respective departments.

Beyond document handling, AI has been deployed across marketing and sales functions, including analyzing customer behavior and forecasting sales based on historical data to optimize inventory management. Automated chatbots are also utilized to handle customer inquiries and gauge customer sentiment swiftly, while AI vision systems inspect product quality on the manufacturing line with greater accuracy than manual spot checks.
"We don't view AI as a new toy or a fancy tool, but as a new organizational infrastructure, just like electricity and the internet. Used properly, it makes an organization sprint forward exponentially."

A key to her successful implementation strategy is maintaining strict control rather than letting AI operate autonomously. By utilizing Python Scripts to define precise data fields and logic—such as designating specific columns for customer names and product codes—she prevents model hallucinations. This precision is vital in packaging and cosmetics manufacturing where minor errors translate directly into financial costs.
Integrating AI into small and medium enterprises or family businesses often encounters hurdles regarding cost and data security concerns. However, this case study illustrates that starting by tackling specific operational pain points, such as document management and data entry, can deliver immediate returns on investment without requiring massive outlays in heavy IT infrastructure.
Another innovative solution addressed institutional knowledge scattered across communication apps. Employees now copy chat transcripts from LINE group chats into a server window where a Local AI automatically organizes, categorizes, and links the conversations to relevant projects, eliminating the need to scroll through tens of thousands of messages to retrieve past work details.

Regarding technology expenditures, she revealed that initial investments were minimal, starting with just three ChatGPT Plus subscriptions before expanding to four Claude AI accounts, alongside a proprietary Local AI developed in-house to safeguard data security. With approximately 600 total employees including daily-wage factory workers, she firmly emphasized that there is no policy to downsize personnel.
"We never view AI as a replacement for humans, but rather as a way to reclaim human time so people can focus on more meaningful work," she concluded, expressing strong confidence in the future of Thai cosmetics across Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern markets.
