The designboom shop has presented its latest curated drop for August 2026, celebrating objects that honor raw textures, traditional crafts, and material innovations. Fashioned from a dark, pebble-infused gaerome clay with a 1,200-year heritage in Japan's Mie prefecture, the Iga-Yaki cup by Asemi Co. embraces the Wabi-Sabi philosophy of natural imperfection. Finished with a vivid hydrangea-colored glaze transitioning from bright blue to matte gray, each handmade piece yields a unique character backed by high heat resistance and durability.
Bridging interior design materials and fine jewelry, studio GesineDoelle utilizes high-performance acrylic paired with traditional goldsmithing techniques to create the Gemring. Precision CNC cutting shapes the geometric silhouette, meticulously hand-polished into a wearable sculpture with a distinct architectural presence.

Crafted from solid oak, the Twist Shelf by Lawa Design unites two functions through a singular geometric gesture. A mind-bending 180-degree twist converts one section into a display shelf while transforming the adjoining surface into a hidden magnetic board for kitchen knives or keys, available in natural, smoked, and black oiled oak finishes.
