The three newly added startups feature distinct technological strengths:
- Alpaca (AlpacaDB, Incorp): A US-based startup developing wealth management and FX platforms, featuring a Brokerage-as-a-Service model that allows financial institutions to integrate API securities trading.
- Qoala (Qoala Technology PTE LTD): A Singaporean InsurTech startup serving customers across several ASEAN nations, including Thailand, expanding the portfolio's integration with regional digital insurance infrastructure.
- Whale (Whale Technologies Limited): The latest deal closed in July, developing an Enterprise AI platform that uses real-time image, audio, and customer behavior analytics to optimize customer experience and cross-channel operations.
Palida Atisapong, Acting Managing Director of Krungsri Finnovate Co., Ltd., stated that Whale possesses strong potential as an enterprise-grade AI platform supporting comprehensive products and multi-channel integration. Meanwhile, Alpaca and Qoala build digital infrastructure that helps financial institutions adapt to increasingly complex consumer behaviors.

Krungsri Finnovate's latest moves highlight a modern Corporate Venture Capital (CVC) strategy that goes beyond financial returns. By integrating global technologies into the local banking ecosystem, the firm aims to strengthen its competitive edge and better navigate the fast-paced digital banking landscape across Southeast Asia.
Currently, Krungsri Finnovate's investment portfolio is valued at approximately 5 billion Baht or 150 million US Dollars, covering over 30 startups in Thailand, ASEAN, and international markets, including 4 unicorns. Adding Alpaca, Qoala, and Whale marks another major milestone in expanding toward global technologies while building bridges back to regional businesses.
