Following public criticism regarding a forum event held at Prince of Songkla University, Pattani Campus, Mr. Yosanan Wongsuwan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, posted a formal clarification on his personal social media channel on August 18 to address the ministry's official stance.
Mr. Yosanan emphasized that freedom of thought is something that cannot be restricted, stating that universities must always remain open spaces for learning and exchange without any policy to restrict expressions by students or faculty members.
