NACC Reveals Asset Declarations of Two New Thai MPs

Thailand's National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) has publicly released the asset and debt declarations of first-time Members of Parliament who assumed office on March 15, 2026. Among the newly seated politicians, the financial disclosures of two prominent political heirs—Ms. Natthida Thepsutin, a party-list MP for the Pheu Thai Party, and Mr. Peeraphat Ratchakitprakarn, an MP for Satun Constituency 1 from the Bhumjaithai Party—drew significant public attention on August 19, 2026.
Ms. Natthida Thepsutin, the eldest daughter of former Public Health Minister Somsak Thepsutin, reported a single status with total assets of 720,101,877 baht and liabilities amounting to an overdraft of 892,437 baht. Her declared wealth includes cash, 22 bank accounts totaling 61,248,529 baht, investments in mutual funds and corporate shares worth 198,601,279 baht, as well as 297 land plots primarily located in Lamphun, Lampang, Sukhothai, Kamphaeng Phet, Nonthaburi, Samut Prakan, and Chonburi provinces, valued at 380,054,376 baht.
Additionally, Ms. Natthida declared four buildings, a newly purchased Toyota Alphard vehicle worth 2.99 million baht, concessions, and other assets valued at 4.6 million baht, which include 15 luxury handbags from brands like Hermes and Chanel, Rolex and Patek Philippe wristwatches, and diamond jewelry. She reported an annual income of 13 million baht against annual expenses of 4.4 million baht.

Meanwhile, Mr. Peeraphat Ratchakitprakarn, son of the younger brother of Deputy Prime Minister and Transport Minister Piphat Ratchakitprakarn, filed declarations alongside his common-law partner, Ms. Thanatchorn Kulsophonphong. Together, they reported total assets of 62,140,000 baht and liabilities of 459,636 baht. Mr. Peeraphat's individual assets accounted for 60,199,877 baht, comprising 14 bank accounts, investments in family-managed companies and digital token trading platforms, a loan to Satun FC Company Limited, and 7 land plots in Satun province.
Mr. Peeraphat also reported an annual income of 7,735,331 baht generated from diverse streams, including KFC restaurant rental fees, land rental on Koh Lipe, shrimp farming, night market space operations, and dividends, alongside high-value assets such as a special license plate, gold bars, and diamond jewelry sets.
The asset disclosure mandates overseen by the NACC serve as a vital constitutional mechanism in Thailand to ensure transparency and accountability among elected representatives. The financial profiles of second-generation political heirs frequently come under close public scrutiny, offering insights into family-backed business portfolios and diversified income streams beyond standard legislative salaries.
