The Moroccan Ministry of Justice and the Public Prosecution Office confirmed that the 41-year-old was being held at the local prison in Marrakech following a court conviction in connection with a criminal case. Originally handed a 10-month sentence, his term was reduced to eight months on appeal, and officials confirmed he remains in good health while the UK Foreign Office provides consular support.
