Thairath Group has partnered with the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) to host the food and culture festival titled "Ros Rak Ngao: The Journey of Flavors and Stories" under the Taste Journey Starter concept. The organizers intend for this event to serve as a catalyst, encouraging attendees to travel and discover local eateries and ingredient sources across Thailand while fostering direct business networks between entrepreneurs and consumers.
Visitors can experience famous regional dishes gathered together within walking distance at the EM Market on G Floor, EmSphere, from August 22 to August 25, 2026, operating daily from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Highlights include Khao Soi Lamduan Fah Ham from Chiang Mai, Kham Yam from Pattani, fish dumplings from Tha Chalom in Samut Sakhon, Isan food from Nakhon Ratchasima, and GI-certified triple-flavor juice from Phetchaburi, alongside renowned legendary eateries and Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurants from all five regions of Thailand.

The grand opening ceremony was honored by Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaiboon, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, and Ms. Jitsupa Watcharapol, Co-Chief Executive Officer of Thairath TV and Thairath Online, who jointly opened the "Ingredient Treasure Chest." The contents of the chest were then handed over to Chef Au and Chef Ploy to craft special dishes distributed to event attendees.
In addition to the food zones, the event features the Taste Journey Starter Exhibition Zone, showcasing rare and valuable local ingredients alongside the concept of "Food as Medicine," highlighting traditional Thai wellness wisdom. Meanwhile, the TAT has set up a Local Tourism Booth presenting provincial food trails and major ingredient origins across the country.
Organizing a gastronomy-focused festival of this scale highlights a strategic collaboration between media and government sectors to promote food tourism. By bridging the gap between urban food tasting and rural travel, such initiatives effectively distribute income to local communities and elevate the cultural value of indigenous ingredients to a broader audience.
Attendees of the "Ros Rak Ngao" festival also have the chance to win prizes by presenting receipts from food or product purchases totaling 100 THB within the event to receive one lucky wheel spin. Prizes include wild forest honey, traditional herbal inhalers, herbal scent bags, ginger snacks, and dried herbal snacks, limited to 100 prizes per day.
