"Amazing Chiang Mai Green Guide Fest 2026 demonstrates how sustainability can become part of the complete tourism experience."
Mr. Nat Kruthasoot, TAT Deputy Governor for Tourism Products and Business
Operating the festival as a certified Carbon Neutral Event highlights an important operational shift within Thailand's tourism sector. By implementing rigorous waste separation, plastic reduction, and electric vehicle transport in a major hub like Chiang Mai, TAT is establishing a tangible benchmark for future eco-tourism events in alignment with the broader Sustainable Tourism Goals (STGs) framework.
TAT expects at least 15,000 domestic and international visitors to attend the festival over the three-day run, directly generating over 20 million Baht in on-site spending and contributing more than 100 million Baht in wider economic impact throughout Chiang Mai.
