Microsoft has unveiled a brand-new lineup of limited-edition accessories under the "Designed for Xbox 25th Anniversary" collection, giving gamers a nostalgic nod to the brand's rich history. Almost all items in this special drop are available for pre-order starting today, paying direct homage to the special edition Halo console of the original Xbox era.
The standout design choice across the collection is the translucent "OG Green" finish, matching the aesthetic of the Xbox Series X25 limited edition console first teased back in June at E3. Several high-profile peripherals from Razer have received this anniversary treatment, including:
- Razer Basilisk V3 Pro 35K mouse
- Razer BlackWidow V4 75% gaming keyboard
- Razer Hammerhead V3 X HyperSpeed earbuds

Beyond Razer's hardware, the collection expands to include a translucent green 8BitDo Ultimate charging dock compatible with Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One controllers, alongside a matching translucent green GameSir X5 Lite mobile controller for Xbox.
The resurgence of translucent hardware taps directly into late-90s and early-2000s tech nostalgia. By applying this semi-transparent aesthetic to modern, high-performance peripherals, Microsoft bridges the gap between retro hardware collector culture and contemporary gaming demands, creating high collectibility value for longtime fans.
Interestingly, not everything in the drop follows the green color scheme. While PowerA contributed a black sling bag, the Backbone Pro mobile controller takes a unique approach. Following a translucent green release last year, the new Backbone Pro edition comes in clear, translucent blue, and translucent orange packaged as a blind box, meaning buyers will receive one of the three colors at random.
