Samsung Galaxy S26 FE Launched with Exynos 2500 Chip

Samsung has officially announced the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE, positioned as the latest and most affordable member of the Galaxy S26 family. A major highlight is that it is the first smartphone in the series to come pre-installed with the One UI 9 operating system based on Android 17 directly from the factory.
The most noticeable hardware upgrade compared to its predecessor is the processor. The Galaxy S26 FE switches to the Exynos 2500 chip, built on a 3-nanometer process node, replacing the 4-nanometer Exynos 2400 found in the Galaxy S25 FE. This new chipset features updated CPU cores, an AMD RDNA 3 architecture GPU with a 33 percent increase in workgroups, and an NPU boasting 40 percent more calculation hardware. Previously, the Exynos 2500 chip was exclusive to the Galaxy Z Flip 7.

Aside from the chipset, most of the hardware specifications are carried over from the previous generation. It features a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 1,900 nits. The device retains a 4,900mAh battery capacity supporting 45W wired fast charging and 15W wireless charging, alongside an IP68 dust and water resistance rating.
The rear camera system remains a triple-lens setup consisting of a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultrawide camera, and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera that offers 3x optical zoom and up to 30x digital zoom. Meanwhile, the front-facing selfie camera comes with a 12-megapixel sensor.

Samsung has placed significant emphasis on software features. The Galaxy S26 FE inherits capabilities first introduced on high-end foldables, such as My FanCam, which tracks a selected person in a video clip and automatically keeps them centered in the frame. It also includes Super Steady working alongside Horizon Lock to keep the image horizon level even when the device is rotated a full 360 degrees during capture.
Software enhancements continue with Photo Assist, allowing users to edit images using natural language commands such as transforming daytime scenes into nighttime, adding or removing objects, and reversing edits step-by-step. Furthermore, One UI 9 improves the Now Brief feature, enabling users to generate personalized summary cards via voice commands across weather, health, and video categories, alongside Circle to Search with Google supporting multiple object searches in a single image simultaneously.
The introduction of the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE highlights the company's strategy of bringing advanced 3nm flagship silicon like the Exynos 2500 down to more accessible price points, expanding AI capabilities and energy efficiency to a wider consumer base backed by a solid 7-year update lifecycle.
In terms of after-sales service, Samsung states that the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE will receive up to 7 major operating system upgrades alongside 7 years of security updates. Additionally, for the first time in the Galaxy S series, buyers receive a complimentary 6-month trial of Google AI Pro. The device is available in three color options: Blueberry purple, Pistachio green, and Graphite black, while pricing and local release details in Thailand have not yet been disclosed by Thai Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd.
