Digital Economy and Society Minister Chaiwut Thanakornchanok has disclosed the latest update regarding public participation in the TH-AI Passport initiative, highlighting a steady stream of interest from citizens across various regions of the country as the digital literacy campaign rolls out.
According to current tracking data, the Bangkok Metropolitan Region remains the area with the highest concentration of registered participants, reaching roughly 250,000 individuals. This is followed by Ubon Ratchathani province with approximately 30,000 registrations, and Buriram province, which has recorded around 16,000 interested participants.

The Minister emphasized that the administration intentionally avoided establishing strict provincial quotas or mandatory registration targets for local authorities. Instead, the framework was deliberately designed to encourage organic participation, allowing the government to gauge genuine public curiosity and baseline enthusiasm for artificial intelligence tools.
"Looking at the age distribution, the largest group of registrants falls between 30 and 45 years old, followed by those aged 20 to 24, and citizens over 60."
An analysis of demographic participation during the initial launch phase indicates that working-age adults are driving the numbers. Citizens aged 30 to 45 comprise the largest segment of applicants, followed by young adults aged 20 to 24. Notably, senior citizens aged 60 and above have also demonstrated significant engagement by registering in substantial numbers.
