The House Committee on Consumer Protection organized a public seminar and community engagement event at the Grand Richmond Hotel in Nonthaburi province on August 29, 2026, aiming to build protective awareness for local residents against modern scam tactics.
Held under the campaign theme "Believe It Not, Don't Transfer, Don't Get Scammed," the event drew over 200 participants from Nonthaburi. The discussions centered heavily on online shopping fraud and scammers disguising themselves across various digital platforms, which currently pose widespread challenges to public well-being.
Online shopping scams and digital fraud continue to evolve alongside technological advancements. Community-level seminars organized by legislative committees and institutions serve as a vital mechanism to build grassroots networks, helping citizens stay vigilant and mitigating the direct impacts of tech-related crimes.

Key figures attending the event included Mr. Wuttikorn Nutayakul, House Committee member and Nonthaburi MP District 1, alongside Dr. Phinyapak Innarayarathada, Advisor to the Committee, and Ms. Teeraphan Jaimun, Director of the College of Legislation at King Prajadhipok's Institute.
