Chip Motors has introduced the Chip, a compact electric vehicle defined by the company as a 'life utility vehicle' or LUV, built for short trips between home, school, shops, and nearby bodies of water. Available in four or six-seat configurations, the vehicle reaches a top speed of 25 mph, keeping it off highways and confined to roads posted at 35 mph or lower where heavy SUVs feel excessive for quick errands.
The upright microcar can be configured with an open frame, doors, and a hard or soft roof, sporting a friendly pixelated front face that adds personality. Buyers can customize colors, seats, and accessories including roof racks, air conditioning, and a front storage compartment that can integrate a television and speakers to transform the bonnet into an outdoor entertainment setup.

The vehicle's standout feature is Chip Go, an optional remote-driving service that moves the car while empty. Through this service, users can direct Chip to pick up curbside groceries, find a parking spot, return home, or head out for a wash.
