Mr. Anutin led a group of 120 Buddhist monks on a boat excursion to inspect and follow up on royal initiative projects aimed at developing historic canals around the Rattanakosin Island area, turning them into prominent tourist landmarks in Bangkok. Local residents along both sides of the canals showed great interest, paying respects to the monks and taking photos along the route.
The participating monks came from five historic temples:
- Wat Saket Ratcha Wora Maha Vihara
- Wat Ratchanatdaram Worawihan
- Wat Thewarat Kunchorn Worawihan
- Wat Sunthon Thammathan
- Wat Borommathat Ratchaworawihan
The delegation traveled by boat through several key historic waterways, including Khlong Maha Nak, Khlong Phadung Krung Kasem, Khlong Ong Ang, and Khlong Bang Lamphu. During the journey, they received detailed briefings from royal household agencies and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration's Culture and Tourism Department regarding the historical background, roles, and relationships between the canals, temples, and local communities.
