Tottenham move for Ndiaye as Richarlison eyes Everton return

Tottenham are holding advanced negotiations to secure Iliman Ndiaye from Everton, with Richarlison poised to move in the opposite direction through a separate deal. Although terms for the 26-year-old Ndiaye are largely agreed between the clubs, his switch to north London remains uncertain as Manchester City have also expressed interest in the forward.
Everton are open to parting ways with Ndiaye after he turned down multiple contract offers and held discussions with Saudi side Al-Hilal earlier this summer. Meanwhile, the Toffees have reached an agreement in principle to re-sign Brazilian striker Richarlison, who informed Spurs head coach Roberto de Zerbi on numerous occasions that he wants to leave the club.
Late-window transfers in the Premier League are often characterized by complex chain reactions and interdependent deals. Tottenham's aggressive market activity reflects immense pressure following consecutive struggles, forcing management to urgently reconfigure the squad and offload unsettled players to stabilize their campaign.
Richarlison, entering the final year of his contract, is one of three players De Zerbi confirmed have asked to depart, alongside Kevin Danso and Pape Matar Sarr. None of them were included in the matchday squad for Saturday's 2-0 home defeat against Newcastle. De Zerbi emphasized that any wantaway player must bring an economic solution to the club before a transfer can proceed.
"Richarlison, I don't know. He said too many times he wants to leave."
Spurs have splashed more than £300m this summer to regain their competitive edge following back-to-back 17th-place finishes, yet they currently sit bottom of the Premier League after losing their opening two fixtures without scoring. Elsewhere, Jack Grealish is growing increasingly confident of sealing a loan return to Everton, prioritizing his former loan club over Aston Villa.

Regarding other departures, 23-year-old midfielder Pape Matar Sarr has attracted interest from Juventus, who are confident of securing a loan deal with a conditional obligation to buy. Meanwhile, Kevin Danso's exit request follows Sunderland's rejected approach, with Spurs bolstering their central defence options by bringing in Marcos Senesi and Jan Paul van Hecke.
