ISOC Provides Support and Relief to Families of Fallen Thai-Cambodian Border Troops

On July 27, Lieutenant General Thanathip Sawangsaeng, Director of the Mass Relations and Information Office of the Internal Security Operations Command (ISOC), accompanied by the committee of the Thai National Volunteers Foundation, traveled to the 1st Army Area headquarters. The visit aimed to offer condolences and encouragement to the families of military personnel who lost their lives during the second round of border disputes along the Thai-Cambodian frontier.
During the event, a formal presentation of financial assistance was held for 14 families of deceased personnel, with each family receiving 10,000 baht, amounting to a total of 140,000 baht. In addition, fourteen 18-inch Hatari electric fans were distributed to every bereaved family to help alleviate daily hardships and provide moral support during their time of grief.
This relief operation underscores the robust collaboration between ISOC, the Thai National Volunteers Foundation, and various public sectors in jointly delivering tangible care, rehabilitation, and moral encouragement to the personnel and families who made the ultimate sacrifice, spanning healthcare support, welfare assistance, and livelihood reinforcement.
Border conflict casualties require long-term, coordinated support from both state agencies and civil society. Providing financial and material relief not only eases household economic burdens but also honors the bravery of frontline defenders, reassuring them that their sacrifices and families will never be overlooked by the nation.

Previously, the Mass Relations and Information Office of ISOC, alongside the Thai National Volunteers Foundation and the Phueng Luang Asawin Foundation, contributed critical medical equipment to Phramongkutklao Hospital to treat personnel injured in the same Thai-Cambodian border conflict. That earlier initiative included ventilators worth a combined 900,000 baht, alongside financial grants for 35 injured service members and 27 families of fallen heroes.
ISOC reiterated its firm dedication to continuously integrating efforts with all sectors to look after injured personnel and the families of the fallen, running parallel with supporting the military's core mission to safeguard national sovereignty and sustainably elevate public quality of life.
