Under the proposed changes, Dr. Ekkaphop Pianpises, currently serving as an assistant to Minister of the Prime Minister's Office Phadadon Prissananantakul, is set to step into the role of the new Prime Minister's Spokesperson. Concurrently, current spokesperson Ms. Rachada Dhnadirek will transition to take over Dr. Ekkaphop's previous assistant position.

The atmosphere during the cabinet's dinner reception at the mobile cabinet meeting in Songkhla province on the evening of August 31 was lively. During the event, Ms. Rachada was seated directly next to Dr. Ekkaphop. Towards the end of the evening, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul approached the pair to take photographs and raised both of their hands in a cheerful display.
"Easy does it, moving to the cabinet tomorrow or not? ... Easy does it."
When reporters jokingly asked whether such a prominent gesture meant the appointment could be approved in the cabinet meeting the following day, the Prime Minister raised his hand to slow down the questioning, responding with a calm request to take things slow.
Reshuffling the spokesperson team is a crucial administrative strategy for recalibrating government messaging and public relations. Bringing in a figure with a medical background and diverse political experience like Dr. Ekkaphop highlights an effort to strengthen public outreach and deliver policy updates more effectively during critical political periods.
In addition to the communication team shake-up, Prime Minister Anutin was seen reviewing policy documents ahead of the official mobile cabinet meeting scheduled for September 1. A key agenda item involves pushing for a nationwide disaster insurance scheme covering incidents such as landslides, floods, and earthquakes, with the cabinet expected to grant initial approval before working out the legal and financial details.
