JetBlue Unveils BlueFirst Domestic First Class Seats

JetBlue has officially unveiled its brand-new domestic first class seating product, named BlueFirst, on Tuesday, as part of a strategic bet to drive profitability after enduring six consecutive years of financial losses.
The newly designed BlueFirst seats are engineered using mattress foam to deliver superior comfort. They provide passengers with an additional seven inches of legroom and up to five inches of recline, arranged in a standard 2x2 cabin layout.
According to the airline, Airbus A220 and A320 aircraft will feature 12 BlueFirst seats, while larger A321 aircraft will accommodate 16 seats. The cabins are also equipped with 13.3-inch seatback entertainment screens, power outlets, and dedicated overhead bin storage.

Passengers flying in this domestic first class tier will enjoy various perks, including complimentary blankets, amenity kits, and seatback ordering for meals and beverages. Additional benefits include priority check-in, priority boarding, and access to expedited security lanes at more than 30 airports.
The launch of BlueFirst highlights the carrier's strategic pivot toward capturing high-yield premium travel demand in the post-pandemic market. By upgrading its cabin offerings, JetBlue aims to diversify its revenue streams and offset ongoing operational cost pressures within the competitive aviation sector.
JetBlue plans to open ticket bookings for BlueFirst in the upcoming fall season, with the very first retrofitted aircraft scheduled to enter service later in 2026.
