Asanee-Wasan 2026: Farewell concert postponed

An unexpected incident unfolded on September 2, 2026, at Impact Arena during the special round of the FAREWELL CONCERT by legendary duo Asanee and Wasan, which was originally scheduled to begin at 7:00 PM with tens of thousands of fans eagerly awaiting inside the hall.

Before the performance commenced, the temporary elevated seating zone on the first floor—designated for high-priced VIP tickets costing between 7,000 and 10,000 THB—suffered a structural collapse. The sinking started on one side before spreading across the entire zone, which housed numerous executives and politicians, forcing staff to urgently evacuate attendees and delay the show.

The lack of clear announcements from organizers left audience members frustrated as advertisements continued to play amidst widespread confusion. By 8:12 PM, after area inspections concluded, the concert finally started, but ongoing instability in the seating area prevented attendees from sitting or standing properly.

During the brief resumption, artists Pomp and Toh actively engaged with fans to calm the atmosphere and urged management to issue an official statement. However, as the seating failure expanded, the show had to be halted mid-performance, disappointing standing and seated ticket holders, many of whom had traveled from other provinces.
