General Sarawut, Commander of the Armed Forces Development Command, along with his delegation, traveled to the border areas of Chanthaburi province to assess security conditions. The trip began with a briefing on weather and operational situations before taking a military aircraft to a temporary helicopter landing pad at Ranger Company 521 (Ban Laem base) in Pong Nam Ron district to evaluate the regional overview.
Following the initial briefing, the delegation proceeded to Wat Suan Som in Ban Suan Som, Tambon Sathon, Soi Dao district, to inspect local bomb shelters. The visit aimed to assess actual site conditions and review preparedness measures designed to protect residents living along the Thai-Cambodian border from potential security impacts.

Later, the delegation moved to border post 55 in Ban Bueng Chanang Lang, Tambon Thep Nimit, Pong Nam Ron district, to inspect the ongoing construction project of the Thai-Cambodian border fence and patrol roads stretching between border posts 55 and 52. They also listened to progress reports, challenges, and operational details to ensure that security missions are executed with maximum efficiency.
This high-level inspection by the Armed Forces Development Command highlights the integration of field engineering and national security operations. Constructing physical barriers and patrol roads not only enhances border surveillance and territorial control for state forces but also establishes structural reassurance for communities residing in sensitive border regions.
