The match got off to a disastrous start for the hosts when goalkeeper Kjell Scherpen made a desperately poor error, gifting Isak the opening goal within minutes. Although Scherpen pulled off a couple of decent saves later in the match, the early damage had already left Ipswich chasing the game from behind.
