On September 4 at Government House, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul officially welcomed a delegation of 76 foreign ambassadors, consuls, and heads of international organizations based in Thailand. The meeting aimed to listen to the Thai government's policy directions and vision, as reported by government spokesperson Ms. Rachada Dhnadirek.
The gathering provided an opportunity for newly appointed ambassadors to build connections, exchange perspectives, and strengthen working relationships with the Thai government to foster concrete bilateral cooperation moving forward.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister shared his vision that Thailand is currently in a critical period of transformation. The government is actively advancing public sector reform alongside economic restructuring toward future industries, while preparing for membership in the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) to elevate national standards and institutional frameworks.

Anutin added that foreign policy must serve as a gateway to new opportunities in investment, technology, knowledge, and human capital development. He highlighted key sectors that will shape the global economic future, including the digital economy, clean energy, food, and health, while reaffirming Thailand's stability and openness to global partnerships.
Pushing for OECD membership represents a major economic milestone for Thailand, as the organization enforces high standards in governance and investment regulations, which helps build long-term confidence among international investors.

In domestic political updates, Ms. Traisulee Traisoranakul, Secretary-General to the Prime Minister and registrar of the Bhumjaithai Party, announced that the September 6 dinner gathering previously arranged by Anutin at his private residence in Bang Phli for cabinet ministers and coalition leaders has been postponed due to urgent schedule conflicts next week. A new date will be announced in due course.
Meanwhile, at the Parliament, MP Phanthil Nuam-jerm of the People's Party addressed the urgent debate concerning southern border issues, which previously caused the annual report agenda of the Election Commission to be postponed. The opposition party criticized the handling of the schedule, while House Speaker Sophon Sarum issued the parliamentary meeting agenda for September 7–9, 2026, to deliberate the 2027 Fiscal Budget Bill in readings two and three.
