This poses a massive challenge for the agricultural and food industries, which deal with living organisms such as chickens requiring a 42-day growth period or pigs taking 6-7 months, alongside unpredictable variables like weather, diseases, and supply chain disruptions that can trigger a domino effect.
At the recent Techsauce Global Summit, Theerapong Vichayaruengrom, Director of Data & AI at AXONS, shared insights on how they leverage artificial intelligence to solve these classic agricultural challenges by shifting from passive data collection to deep analytical deployment across four main strategies.
Modern farming operations are being enhanced by combining farmers' expertise with AI to analyze weather conditions and market trends. To eliminate stress and disease risks caused by traditional manual weighing, AXONS employs AI cameras to scan movement and estimate weight non-invasively. Furthermore, AI detects early warning signs of illness—such as reduced feeding or mobility—allowing veterinarians to intervene before outbreaks spread, while also serving as a preliminary assistant for farmers diagnosing livestock symptoms.

For operational management, AXONS applies Agentic AI to evaluate customer demand, farm constraints, and resource allocation simultaneously, determining the most efficient production and logistics pathways. They also connect Big Data from feed mills to dinner tables, enabling 100% traceability via consumer QR code scans and transparent carbon footprint tracking to meet global ESG standards.
