On September 4, 2026, former Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin advanced his social mission through the Sermkla Foundation under the concept of connecting problems with opportunities. The initiative was launched following a direct alert from the Dairy Farming Promotion Organization of Thailand (DPO) regarding a severe raw milk surplus crisis heavily impacting local dairy farmers.
To alleviate this burden, the foundation collaborated with Sansiri Public Company Limited and private sector partners to absorb the excess agricultural output. The collected dairy products are systematically redirected to schools, foundations, welfare shelters, and child development centers, transforming a supply chain bottleneck into a valuable opportunity for vulnerable children and youths to access proper nutrition.

The current distribution phase focuses on schools and institutions caring for children in Bangkok, Pathum Thani province, and Ratchaburi province. Ratchaburi holds special significance as it is an area where Srettha previously concentrated efforts on driving the Zero Dropout initiative to assist youths at risk of dropping out of the educational system.
Bridging the agricultural surplus crisis with child nutrition reflects a macro-level application of resource optimization and social enterprise principles. This approach not only provides immediate price stabilization and liquidity support for Thai dairy farmers but also serves as a critical investment in human capital.
