A striking temporary white structure known as West/End, or "West/End (For those who made it this far)," has been established on a narrow plateau within the dramatic limestone landscape of Othoni. Situated on a rocky outcrop, the installation overlooks the vast expanse of the Ionian Sea from Greece's westernmost inhabited island.
The white platform introduces a precise architectural geometry that contrasts sharply with the irregular topography and surrounding vegetation of the site. Positioned directly on the island's rocky terrain, the artwork acts as a temporary architectural marker bridging the gap between the forested landscape and the open sea.

Conceived as both a sculpture and functional collective seating, the stepped structure features a compact footprint of 2.5 by 2.5 meters. As revealed from an aerial perspective, the installation sits boldly right at the rugged edge of the plateau, offering a distinct visual focal point.
The entire installation is oriented toward the western horizon, aligning the collective seating arrangement with the setting sun. This careful placement invites visitors to experience a direct dialogue between the built geometric form and the natural coastal sunset.
The West/End project exemplifies how site-specific art can interact with remote natural landscapes. By introducing a minimalist platform on a rugged cliffside, the artist creates a contemplative space that highlights the isolation and scenic beauty of Greece's border islands.
The project was created by artist Dimitris Kontodimos and organized by Ionian Lab by Space52 alongside Kalogerou1844, showcasing innovative creative projects submitted through global architecture and design platforms.
