Historic Visit: Thai Monarch Travels to Vietnam

At the invitation of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President of Socialist Republic of Vietnam To Lam, this historic royal visit holds special significance. Marking the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Vietnam, it is the first time in history that a Thai monarch has made an official visit to Vietnam, serving as a crucial milestone to elevate bilateral ties.

The royal schedule reflects comprehensive goodwill and friendship. Key activities include laying wreaths at the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs and the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh, attending an official welcoming ceremony, holding discussions with high-ranking Vietnamese leaders, and granting audiences to prominent figures in Vietnam.

Beyond political engagements, emphasis was placed on cultural and religious activities. The royal itinerary included viewing cultural performances at Ngoc Son Temple, visiting Quan Su Pagoda, the headquarters of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha, and inspecting the operations of the Thai Language and Culture Center at Hanoi University.
