The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is highlighting the concept of "Power of Journey: Healing is the New Luxury" at the Gastech Exhibition and Conference 2026, held from September 14 to 17 at BITEC in Bangkok. Through immersive experiences, the agency aims to present Thailand's core strengths in wellness, living culture, and responsible travel to a diverse international audience.
This global energy event serves as a major gathering point, drawing more than 50,000 professionals, decision-makers, and business leaders from over 150 countries. TAT’s participation capitalizes on this platform to showcase Thailand's appeal for high-value leisure travel and international Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, and Exhibitions (MICE) markets.
Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, TAT Governor, emphasized that Gastech provides a vital opportunity to engage with global leaders while presenting a new dimension of Thailand. "Through 'Power of Journey: Healing is the New Luxury', we are showing how wellness, culture, food, the arts and local ways of life can add greater value and meaning to a journey."
At the TAT booth, visitors can explore the "Feel All the Feelings" zone, which brings Thai lifestyles and culture to life through visual storytelling. Additionally, the "20 Low Carbon Lifestyles" display highlights travel routes that connect nature and local communities with responsible tourism practices. Cultural demonstrations and traditional Thai herbal inhalers are also featured as souvenirs representing Thai heritage.
TAT's strategic presence at a major industrial event like Gastech 2026 demonstrates an effective cross-sector marketing approach. By engaging corporate decision-makers and high-net-worth professionals directly, Thailand strengthens its position as a premier destination for both business MICE travel and sustainable wellness tourism.
Overall, TAT's participation at Gastech 2026 extends the nation's tourism profile among global investors and builds long-term international networks, reinforcing Thailand's capacity to host major international events alongside distinctive leisure experiences.
