Arsenal teenager Max Dowman showcased his exceptional class with two goals in a 4-2 Carabao Cup victory over Ipswich Town, though manager Mikel Arteta was quick to warn that his development must not be rushed.
Playing at Portman Road, the 16-year-old scored a brilliant solo goal by gliding past defenders before slotting home, followed by a composed finish into the bottom corner. His performance made him only the second 16-year-old to score twice in a match for a Premier League side in any competition, following Wayne Rooney's effort for Everton against Wrexham in 2002.

Dowman's breakthrough last season saw him shatter several records, becoming the youngest Champions League player at 15, alongside being Arsenal's youngest starter, goalscorer, and Premier League title winner. All of this occurred while he was still completing his GCSE exams at Brentwood School before shifting his full focus to football.
