Paris Design Week 2026 brings fresh perspectives to the creative industry, highlighted by the presentation 'Tout Est Chaos' from Pli Office. Rather than focusing solely on what design can solve, the exhibition explores what design can provoke, inspiring desire, emotion, curiosity, and unexpected encounters between the audience and the artworks.
To bring this curatorial vision to life, Paf Atelier crafted a spatial layout defined by exposed structural elements, raw industrial materials, and modular assembly principles. Spanning both levels of La Gaîté Lyrique, the exhibition is organized by two 30-meter-long metal spines that serve both as spatial dividers and direct supports for the displayed works. Built around simple, reusable production concepts, the scenography functions simultaneously as architecture, display infrastructure, and a standalone design object.
The use of raw steel frameworks with fully visible mechanical assembly highlights a growing movement in contemporary interior and exhibition design toward transparency and circularity. By avoiding concealed joints and decorative finishes, the designers emphasize structural honesty, allowing the infrastructure itself to become part of the artistic narrative.

To soften the rigid industrial environment, bright heart-shaped forms are positioned throughout the venue, acting as visual markers that guide visitors along their journey while creating intimate moments of emotion. Additionally, film work by Pli Office shifts the visitor experience from mere material collection to deeper cinematic reflection.
The exhibition serves as a dynamic landscape encompassing material research, experimental forms, and personal expression. Objects, installations, and material experiments interact freely, fostering a continuous dialogue across the entire venue under the guidance of curator Christopher Dessus and designer Matali Crasset.
