Anthropic has rolled out a pair of new productivity tools, Claude Docs and Claude Slides, designed to let users generate documents and presentations directly through Claude chats. The output can be exported, edited, and shared with other individuals for collaborative workflows.

Alongside this rollout, Anthropic is simplifying the user experience by merging regular chats and Cowork into a unified system known as "one Claude." This update makes all of the platform's AI productivity tools, including Artifacts and Claude Design, accessible from any conversation.
According to Anthropic, Claude can now determine the requirements of a specific task, allowing capabilities from Cowork and Design to be accessed from any dialogue alongside the user's existing context, skills, and connectors.
This expansion into document and presentation creation represents a direct pushback against Google's native integration of Gemini within its workspace suite. By bringing these creation tools directly into the chat interface, Anthropic is minimizing the reasons users have to leave Claude for external software.
The update to "one Claude" is rolling out first to Pro and Max users across web, desktop, and mobile devices over the course of the next few weeks, with Team and Free tiers gaining access subsequently. Anthropic notes that there is nothing manual to activate for the update.
