The designboom shop has released its latest curated drop, showcasing culinary objects designed to turn routine kitchen chores into engaging design rituals. Going far beyond conventional cooking utensils, this collection gathers whimsical yet highly functional items that introduce visual storytelling, clever geometry, and humor right onto your countertop.
Opening with the Pastaware Collection by Monkey Business Design, the lineup translates traditional Italian pasta visuals into durable silicone kitchen tools. Featured items include an oversized ravioli spoon rest, steam-releasing farfalle trivets, a conchiglie sea-shell lemon squeezer, and heat-resistant spaghetti serving utensils.

Bringing oceanic silhouettes to daily meal prep, the Whales Collection by Peleg Design converts marine forms into ergonomic tools. This includes a self-standing pastail colander with a whale-tail handle, a souper tail ladle, and a jonah toothpick dispenser that releases picks through the mammal's blowhole.
Applying biomorphic design principles to everyday kitchen utensils bridges the gap between utility and emotional engagement. By integrating familiar animal and food motifs into ergonomic tools, modern designers successfully turn mundane household chores into interactive experiences that delight users and spark conversations.
Further expanding the collection, Banana Beach by Artori Design uses laser-cut metal with a poolside scene to suspend banana bunches in mid-air, increasing airflow and preventing premature bruising. Meanwhile, the Wine Hat Stopper Collection by Monkey Business Design seals unfinished wine bottles using food-grade silicone shaped like iconic headwear such as cowboy hats and bowler caps.

Peleg Design also introduces the Multipurpose Egg Holders—Egguins and Eggbears—engineered to boil, serve, and store up to six eggs simultaneously with a cool-touch central handle. Additional highlights include the cord-free AWA Carbonator featuring Scandinavian minimalism and a Sword-Shaped Cheese Grater by Peleg Design that adds an interactive touch to food preparation.
