According to the disclosed information, the complaints involve a team of officers operating drug screening checkpoints in Thalang District, Phuket. The informants referred to the personnel involved as the "black-clad" unit or members of the Thalang District Volunteer Defense Corps.
The informants stated that after individuals were detained at a checkpoint near a convenience store in the Bang Jo area, they were taken inside a building located behind the Thalang District Office. Cash payments ranging from 6,000 to 15,000 baht were allegedly demanded to secure their release without formal legal proceedings.
"The complaint was sent to the 'Pa Khang Ban in Phuket' Facebook page before being shared publicly, alleging the incident took place near a convenience store in Bang Jo, Thalang District."
