The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) hosted the “Amazing Thailand Innovation Gadget & Travel Tech Networking” event in Bangkok on September 18, 2026, aiming to bridge Thai travel tech startups with tourism businesses, public agencies, and potential partners. The gathering marked the official debut of the “Amazing Thailand Innovation Gadget” platform designed for practical tourism innovation.
Unveiled through an innovative 3D hologram presentation, the platform was introduced by Ms. Nattaphan Threedacha, TAT Executive Director for Tourism Investment Promotion, and Dr. Krithpaka Boonfueng, Executive Director of the National Innovation Agency (NIA). This collaboration highlights the joint effort between tourism and innovation sectors to push Thai travel technology into commercial markets and actual visitor journeys.

Ms. Nattaphan stated that travel technology achieves its greatest value when innovations step beyond screens and integrate directly into real travel experiences. TAT built this bridge to align startup ingenuity with evolving industry demands, transforming ideas into practical solutions.
"Travel technology has its greatest value when innovation moves beyond the screen and becomes part of the actual travel experience."
The Amazing Thailand Innovation Gadget platform aggregates tourism technology solutions while offering entrepreneurs a direct channel to connect with users and commercial partners. It expands upon the existing TAT Travel Tech Startup program by pushing support further into commercial application and adoption across the Thai tourism ecosystem.
This integration of government funding and startup agility addresses a historic challenge in Southeast Asian tech ecosystems: bridging the gap between digital prototypes and commercial deployment in traditional hospitality markets.
The event also featured a TECH VIBE session titled “When Collaboration is the New Competitiveness,” discussing how strategic partnerships shape modern consumer behavior. A subsequent Travel Tech Networking session gathered over 100 delegates from startups, government bureaus, and private enterprises to explore collaborative business applications.
