The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MNRE) and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation (MHESI) have officially united to drive initiatives in science, research, and innovation, aiming to elevate natural resource and environmental management toward long-term sustainability and a nature-positive outcome.
The signing ceremony for this expression of intent took place on September 18, 2026, at the press conference room on the 1st floor of the Phra Chom Klao Building, Office of the Permanent Secretary for Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation in Bangkok, marking a significant milestone in integrating academic expertise with national environmental governance.

The key signatories of this agreement were Professor Dr. Yossanan Wongsomswat, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, alongside Mr. Suchart Chatklin, Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, who served as the primary representatives driving inter-ministerial policy collaboration.
