A Look Back at Wanchai 'Asa Pha Pai Long': From Musician to Content Creator

The name Wanchai Akkarawongseng, widely recognized as Wanchai AF5 and the creator behind the travel channel Asa Pha Pai Long, recently caught public attention when he stepped in to help search for Hlun Solo. At around 8:00 PM, he posted a heartbreaking update on his page stating that Hlun's body had been found, expressing his condolences to the family and shocking many followers.

Tracing back his background, Wanchai was born on September 27, 1989. With a deep passion for music from a young age, he pursued high school education at Assumption College Thonburi, followed by the College of Music at Mahidol University, and later earned his bachelor's degree from the College of Music at Rangsit University.

A major milestone in his career came in 2008 when he auditioned for the 5th season of Academy Fantasia, successfully becoming one of the final 12 contestants and carrying the AF moniker since then.

Beyond being a performer, Wanchai proved his versatile talents within the music industry as a prolific songwriter and producer for various artists and television projects:

• Wrote songs for the band 123 Soul, including Khayap, Nak Len Nithan, Mai Wa Yang Ngai, Phu Chai Nisai Mai Di, Ru Suek Cha, and the hit song Phuea Luem.
• Composed drama soundtracks such as Sak Khrang from Jamloei Kammathep (Channel 3) and Khu Rak Chak Sok from True.
• Served as a producer for Green AF's Rueang Na Ai and Meen AF's Rong Hai.
• Hosted television programs including Knowledge Gang and Coming Soon on True channels.

Today, his YouTube channel Asa Pha Pai Long boasts a loyal following of over 1.1 million subscribers. Alongside producing engaging travel videos, he also manages his own tour company, cementing his status as a prominent figure in Thailand's digital entertainment sphere.
