On July 29, 2026, Air Marshal Prapas Sonchaidee, Director of the Thailand-Cambodia Situation Information Center (JIC), addressed allegations made by Cambodian authorities claiming that Cambodian prisoners of war suffered mistreatment while under Thai detention, alongside demands for an official investigation.
Air Marshal Prapas stated that while Thailand is well aware of these accusations, a one-sided claim cannot be accepted as fact. Should there be genuine concerns or grievances, they must be brought into a verification mechanism mutually agreed upon by both nations, backed by concrete and verifiable evidence.
